Put Your Brave Girl Boots On...

Howdy! Happy Sunday! Well, as I'm gearing up for a month of positive change of better food choices and incorporating more activity into my daily life and the lives of my family members I found a few sources of inspiration this weekend that helped me put it in writing. Have you ever made a card for yourself? Sounds kinda of weird, right? Well, like I said I found a few challenges this weekend that kind of all flowed together for me which lead me to make a card for myself! However I'm strongly considering turing the card into a mini book kind of like the American Crafts Amy Tangerine day books (love those), but for now it's a card to remind me to be brave, put my boots on, and get on the journey to making my resolutions reality!

Supplies: Cardstock: Recollections; Patterned Paper, Chipboard: Crate Paper; Stamps: Unity; Stickers: Crate Paper, Pink Paislee; Washi Tape: Hambly; Ink Ranger, Tsukineko, Versamark; Embossing Powder: Ranger; Mist: Studio Calico; Die Cut: Slice; Journaling Tag: Elle's Studio
  • The first point of inspiration for this card is the current Unity Challenge, which is to "make a card or other stamped project that says 'new beginnings' to you" I knew immediately that I wanted to make something that would help me remember my 2012 resolutions daily!
  • So, then I hopped on over to the Unity {Ippity} Opportunity challenge blog and found another challenge to help my card come to life! The current challenge there is
Something Old (the brown/creme Elle's Studio tag is about 2 years old)
Something New (Unity Brave Girl Boots Stamp Set- just received it via mail yesterday and LOVEIT!)
Something Borrowed (the blue jean material is from an old pair of jeans that are.... ummm too small!)
Something Blue (Crate Paper blue jean paper and the blue jean scrap)
  • And the last challenge site which really pulled it all together is Card Patterns weekly sketch site! Yep this card is based on this week's sketch #149!

And, so that is how all three of these awesome challenge blogs helped me pull my little cowgirl card together! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Have a beautiful day and fantastic week!
