A Mellow Yellow Card and GIVEAWAY!!!

I am so tired! If I can just make it through the work day today I will be home free!!! Oh, the weekend how I love thee especially right now since I am just running on fumes. I have made so many crazy mistakes this week, forgotten about things and then only to realize that I've actually lost said things! OMGeeeee! But I refuse to focus on the negative...so guess what? A positive to me ripping through my craft area like a  tornado looking for these missing things is that I feel like sharing some scrap because I've felt an amazing sense of kindness and understanding from a handful of people this week while I've been a bit distracted and forgetful...and I need to pay it forward! So, I'm giving away a set of at least three kits to one winner! WOOT WOOT!!! I will post a pic as soon as I create some order out of this disorder and get the kits picked out! Sound bueno?

OK....next to take my mind off of my mess I created a quick little card for The Friday Sketch Challenge      and the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog- Sunshine Yellow Challenge!  This is my first time playing along with the The Friday Sketch Challenge and I must say I really like their sketches so I'm sure this won;t be my last time either!I used the sentiment from the Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K stamp "Wine of Friendship". It's not fancy or anything, but I'm telling you I LOVE that ribbon. I wish I had an entire spool of it. And the fact that I actually used it is an indication that I am not feeling like my normal hoardish shelf in these wee hours of the morning!

Ok, well let me get a couple of hours of sleep before I have to drag to work! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh, and if you'd like to enter the giveaway please just leave me a happy comment! Just tell me something good that happened to you or anything. I just need to hear some good stories because I have been having a negative nelly attached to me all week! So come on, let's talk about what's awesome not awful! WOOT WOOT!!!!

Docerela Creations Summertime Challenge and A Winner

Happy Friday, Peeps! I can't say the word 'Friday' without a giant smile on my face! And, I have even more reason to smile today because the Docerela Creations team is sharing projects using the new "Summertime" stamp set! I'm not even exaggerating when I say you NEED this stamp set for your summer layouts, cards, and projects! It has a ton a cute phrases and words perfect for your summertime activites! I wanted to step out of my box of creating cards and layouts today to show you how cute these stamps are for creating seasonal home decor projects!

This little box started life just as a simple packaging crate for some metal letters that I purchased from target several years ago, but I kept it because I knew it would make a great scrappy project one day (and also because I hoard crafty or potentially crafty goodies- LOL)! And now it's a little box of summertime happiness! I may put it on display in the living room or may even take it to work and put it in my office because of course the workplace could always use a dose of fun!  So for this little scene I used of course the ever so cute Docerela Creations "Summertime" stamp set, Simple Stories "Summer Fresh" collection, and a few items from my stash! Love this and so, I'm entering it into the Simple Stories Challenge, too!

Another random little card...

Made another little card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and for the Artful Delight card sketch challenge!

The Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge
is to create a project based upon this inspiration piece:

And the Artful Delight Card Sketch Challenge is based upon this sketch:

And then, here's the card I created:

I used the Studio Calico chevron mask and Prima chalk inks to create the tri -color background to create the three panels on the sketch. And then I used the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush stamp set to stamp this cutie patootie ice cream cone and sentiment! Which I received from Leeanne from Artful Delight last month! Gracias! And the little bit of paper lien that I used is from Heidi Swapp's new line and I used a chipboard piece from Dear Lizzy Neopolitan. Bam! That's it! Thanks again for dropping by!

Just a little card!

So I semi-cleaned my craft space or well honestly just cleared off space on my desk, so I'm feeling super crafty and was hopping around blogland looking for fun challenges to play with.... So I found one of my favorite places- Paper Smooches with a cute challenge that I could not pass up:

This week we are inspired by this trendy challenge image!

And Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog's challenge is to use texture....so I combined these two challenges and this is what I came up with....

I went clean and simple with this little card! I used modeling paste and a Studio Calico mask to create the chevron background. Then I just lined the edge of the card with some Target washi tape. I used Paper Smooches Chubby Chums stamp to stamp the images on MME Be Amazing line! That's it...clean and simple! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend! Hopefully my mojo will keep working and I'll accomplish a lot of crafty goals this weekend!
