Gratitude Day 6 and 7
Day 6...Grateful for "me time"! love spending quiet time at home alone playing with my paper and scissors....woot woot actually worked on my gratitude journal!
Day 7...Grateful for my husband! Today was a great, lazy day spent watching a marathon of Housewives of Atlanta and football! Totally mindless activity, but so fun to laugh and talk all day...no arguements, no drama, no temper tantrums (of course I'm the one that usually brings all these things- lol)! Today was a good day!

Gratitude Day 4 and 5
Day 4 Still haven't made a choice on how to document...leaning towards a 4x6mini...so anyway today...
I'm grateful for answered prayers! My little cousin Tyler has Cystic Fibrosis and has desperately needed a transplant for his lungs and liver. Family, friends, and everyone who knows Tyler have been praying like warriors that he get this transplant. And finally, today, we got the word that he is listed for the transplant (pending insurance approval, of course). That being said, I'm grateful for organ donors too because that is the next step...waiting for the actual organs! So, if you happen to stop by please add my sweet little cousin, Tyler, to your prayer list.
Day 5 ok...I really, really need to get this mini put together! Today I am grateful for genuinly nice people. I went to the dentist this morning. The assistant at my dentist's office is always supersweet and we always talk about our kiddos, vacations, and the things that are going on in our lives. Each time I come in for an appointment it's like we're old friends catching up. Truely grateful for her kindess. Also grateful for some supersweet ladies who actually read and make time to respond to their blog comments. I think that's one of the most personal/sweet things bloggers can do.

Less Attitude and More Gratitude....
So I've seen several of my fav scrappy people posting about gratitude and thought this was the perfect incentive for me to really nail down the things that I am grateful for on a daily basis. I have the bad habit of having crazy attitude problems with the people I love most so this is just what I need to keep me focused. I decided to keep my posts documented along with Tessa of Perfectly Precocious (http://precociouspaper.blogspot.com/)and she's supersweet b/c she's even having a giveaway for a gc to her Etsy for peeps that participate in her Attitude of Gratitude Nov 1-30! Cool!
Of course, I'm the most indecisive person ever, so I'm still in limbo as to how to record my gratitude statements. Last night I thought I wanted to make a junque journal so I wrote day 1 & 2 in a composition book that I will alter, but then after looking at Tessa's minibook and the contents of the Nov. Scrapbook Circle kit that I will be receiving soon I started thinking I wanted to make a minibook! Decisions, Decisions! Oh yeah, I even convinced my 13yoa son to take part too- so each night we will sit down together and write down our gratitude statements. He just asked for a sprial notebook to record his;nothing fancy- boys! I must decide tonight for sure (I'm trying to convince myself), but anyway...Here's a recap of my gratitude statments (until I get them all in one place):
November 1....Grateful for my sons' peronalities. Per his request, I took Kyle to the Dollar Tree to buy something today and the cashier complemented him on having so much money in his wallet and saving. He's so cool and calm about everything and barely even acknowledged her compliment, but then when he paid he told her to keep the change! Oh, he steals my heart! Although the change was only 2 cents- the act itself was just so sweet. I'm also grateful that Nic still enjoys reading with me. We finished the Hunger Games last week and started on book two in the trilogy, Catching Fire tonight. I read 3 chapters and he read 1. I prefer reading silently, but put my preference aside to spend time with my son who still likes his mom to read to him. He steals my heart too!
November 2...Grateful for a job/supervisor that is not a stickler about promptness! Seems no matter how hard I try I can rarely get to work on time. I hate being late, but I'm so grateful that I don't work somewhere where I would have gotten the axe by now for my tardiness.
November 3...Grateful for literacy and lunch. Kyle asked me to have lunch with him today because he gets to eat in the library for his book club meeting. I'm so happy that he enjoys reading and learning and also grateful for the opportunity to make his day by stopping by to have lunch with him. His book club discussed Flat Stanley and I still remember how Nic made a Flat Stanley and sent him to our aunt in Marshall for a class assignment a few years ago. Amazing how the same book can touch so many lives!
Ok...wish me luck that I make a decision tonight on how to record my gratitude statements!

Project 12 September
Last minute Lilly.....My printer is on the fritz and I don't think I had very many pictures anyway...so I decided to go au natural without any photos on this LO. I was going to follow the sketch and use library cards in holders in place of the photos but then I saw this pretty piece of inspiration this morning from Wendy Mckee {one of many scrapbooking superstars} and I knew I that it would be a cute and fast way to document September, and luckily I just purchased these tags last week! And of course, my scraplift is very loosly interpreted b/c I could never do justice to any of Wendy's creations- she rocks! Anyway...used my favorite paperlines right now Crate Paper's School Spirit and Restoration. AND... I finally received my Mister Huey's last week---I love him!!!! I only have calico white and sunshine, but as soon as the other colors are in stock ya' better believe I'll be ordering them!!! So cheers to September, and I need to start focusing on documenting October....

Project 12 August
Can't believe I actually finished my project 12 layout well before the deadline. I think it had a lot to do with my love for Crate Paper's School Spirit line! It just makes everything wonderful!!! I'm going to use it to document Kyle's school year, but I couldn't resist cutting into it to complete my August Project 12, too! I also love the new Restoration line, but I haven't figured out what I want to make with my 6X6 papers...hmmm maybe a mini!

Project 12 July and Apron Strings Croppy Summer#28 (part 3)
Slidin' in under the line with my Project 12 July layout! This is also for the Apron Strings (3 part assignment #28) Croppy Summer Assignment which is to scrap current summer photos.
I'm havin' a croppy good time since the kiddos are spending the night with friends, hubby's workin', and Bella is asleep after playing at the park this evening. Ahh...home alone! I don't even want to go to sleep because that cuts down on my so coveted rare 'me time'! Maybe I'll do a couple of more layouts and then call it a night....

Project 12 June
My goodness this year is flying by and so is summer! I'm kind of sad that summer is winding down because that means that it's almost time for homework, football, and jam-packed schedules :(... But I'm so pleased that I have kept up with Project 12! This is something I hope to do for years to come....
Anyway, June was pretty relaxed and about the only two events we had were Ariyanna's pagent and wrapping up Ky's baseball season, so this month's project 12 sketch was perfect because I had like a handful of photos. I'm excited about July's Project 12 because there are lots of photos and I'll have lots of photos from Florida vacay to incorporate into the sketch!

Project 12 May
Since the day I received my June Scrapbook Circle kit in the mail I knew I wanted to use it to create my May project 12 layout. The majority of what I used is from the kit but of course pulled a few embellies, letters, and the the black and white Luxe paper from my stash. I'm so proud of my self for digging into the kit and not hoarding the Girls Paperie goodies. It is my goal, as I've mentioned before to really start using up my kits and not just hoarding them!
I used the Project 12 sketch, and of course, it was 2pages, but I think I'm starting to get a little bit more comfortable with these 2 pagers (finally). We had so many parties during May that there was no way I could only include 4 photos, so I made a "quasi" collage in photoshop (but the the funny thing is that all of the photos are from one party- which was my cousins Jeremy's super 17 and Tyler's sweet 16). Their party was extra-special because Tyler struggles with cystic fibrosis and has been fighting the disease tooth and nail since he was a baby. He is such a sweet, happy young man and I wanted to document his and his brother's party properly! So cheers to May---truely a month of celebrating life!

Project 12 April
Woohoo....I've been playing around with the project 12 sketch for weeks now, and last night I finally decided to go ahead and "git 'er done"!!! Yay! I really wish I knew how to sew, but for now my Hambly rubon stitching will have to do! I started off using my Studio Calico Quilting Bee kit and then started adding bits and pieces from one of my Create My Keepsake kits that's literally fully intact (yeah I'm a scrap hoarder because they closed a long time ago)!!! Anyway, then added some Cosmo Cricket letters and sticker. And I know the little robot dog is kinda outta place, but he's cute and goes with my color scheme! Thanks for stopping by....

project 12- february 2010
I finally finished my Project 12 February layout AND since I'm feelin' so scrappy I should get started on March too...but something spectacular could happen between now and the end of the month that I want to include, so I'll wait {classic procrastinator reasoning!! LOL} Anway, here's what I did for February using the month's sketch...
I primarily used bits and pieces from my february studio calico kit (baker's dozen) and also used some new products (Dear Lizzy, My Little Yellow Bicycle, and Making Memories) and a few items from my stash. Even though I'm fallling behind with using up all of my stash, I'm happy to report that I am using my new products instead of hoarding them like I usually do!
