Ok, so I just spent a ton of money today at the Studio Calico sale, so I am making myself kick it into gear and start scrapping because my hoard is out of control and I will be receiving a lot more soon! I need an intervention! Oh, but it's good news for my scrappy blog friends, too because I picked up a lot of extras for a giveaway that I plan to have for National Scrapbook Day! WOOT WOOT! So, stay tuned for that!
Ok so anyway, moving on this crazy little card that I made for a few different challenges:
Sketch: Card Patterns- sketch 158
I just received that cute bicycle stamp in the mail today from the Unity Stamp sale last weekend! And I knew I wanted to use it for Creative Cutter Room's current challenge "A Stroll in the Park"! For the challenge we had to include items we would see in the park and include the following things:
Mist: misted the doilie and tag
Glitter: embossed clouds with Zing glitter embossing powder
Embossing: clouds
Charm: I couldn't find any charms so I made my own with a butterfly chipboard and a little bead then hung it from a piece of twine
Birthday Sundaes: Sadly this is going to be the last Birthday Sundaes challenge so I knew I had to participate! Challenge is to make a birthday card with numbers on it. I used a Studio calico number stamp on top of washi tape to symbolize a sidewalk in the park!
So, that's it for my crazy little card! Thanks so much for dropping by! Hopefully I'll be back several more times this weekend because I really have a lot of scrapping to do!

12 tags of 2012- March
Hey there! As I mentioned the other day I was going to work on my March tag for Tim Holtz' 12 Tags of 2012. I really loved the tag that Tim created this month because he used two of my favorite things: woodgrain and butterflies! Yay! Here's my take on the March tag:
It was a bit of trial and error trying to achieve the mosaic look on the butterfly because I don't have any of the Wonder Tape that he used which is pretty much key to creating the effect. So, I thought I'd be clever and emboss my butterfly first and then paste my little paper pieces....ummm that was an error! The paper wouldn't stick to the rough surface at least not with Tombow or Glossy Accents! So I dusted off most of the embossing powder and tried again...a little better, but still not what I had envisioned...good enough! I like this little tag and did not have any cool metal embellishments to add to it, so stamped it and called it a day! I've been looking at it for a few days trying to decide if I wanted to add a bit more to it, but decided - Nope!
Supplies: Die Cut Machines: Vagabond; Slice; Dies/Cards: Tim Holtz Tag and bookplate, Slice Jungle design card; Embossing folder: Paper Studio (woodgrain); Grungeboard; Patterned Paper: Tim Holtz Paper Stash- Lost and Found; Embossing Powder, Ink, Paint: Ranger- Tim Holtz, Jenni Bowlin; Stamp, Mist, Button: Studio Calico; Glossy Accents
Thanks so much for visiting and I appreciate your taking the time to stop by so very much! Have a great day! And be sure to come back on Friday!

Docerela Creations DT Challenge!
Happy Friday, Folks!!! I love the weekend and what better way to start it than with Docerela Creations! I hope you all had the opportunity to play along with us last month when we created friendship cards, but if you missed it....guess what? We have a new challenge starting today that you can join in on and have the opportunity to win a set of awesome Docerela Creations stamps! Woot Woot! So, please join us for the current challenge which is to use pastel colors on your project!
For my project I decided to make a little something for myself. I have a habit of finding quotes in various places on the Internet and in books and magazines and writing them on sticky notes and scrap pieces of paper, but as you can imagine that gets a little unorganized and crazy sometimes! So I decided to make a happy place to keep all of my quotes. I used two scrap pieces of cardboard that were in some packaging as the bones of my mini book and covered them with paper and decorated it. But the cherry on top is the cute sentiment stamp from Docerela Stamps Mix & Match III set because the majority of the quotes that I collect are about positive thinking/living and seeing the bright side of life! So, this sentiment is absolutely perfect for my little book! And as I'm typing this I thought of another awesome use of the great sentiments on this set. It has the word "happy" for three different sayings and they are all three different fonts so it would be so cool to stamp those multiple times in multiple colors and then cut them out to use as word confetti to replace the butterfly confetti that I used in my little bag! Hmmm...think I know what my next project will be!
Supplies: Stamps: Docerela Mix & Match III; Papers and Embellies: Studio Calico February 2012- Daydream Believer; Patterned Paper Butterflies: Crate Paper & Jenni Bowlin punch; Ink: Ranger, Prima; Twine: Pick Your Plum
Well, I hope you enjoyed my project and I hope you will hop over and participate in the current "pastel colors" challenge at Docerela Creations. Also, hop on over to the shop and pick up this awesome stamp set because it is so versatile! I would love to see what you create with Docerela Stamps!
