A couple of weeks ago my youngest son and I took a little trip to Waxahachi, Texas to visit the Crafty Scapper! It is truely the most amazing scrapbook store that I have ever been to and we went on the perfect day because they were having an amazing birthday celebration! We literally spent all day there shopping, doing make and takes, and meeting new friends! I was so proud of my son for being a good sport and later that evening he told me that he actually had a fun time and enjoyed our little trip! My heart still glows when I think of what a great time we had. But backing up a bit...I originally thought that he would get bored quickly so I pretty much let him pick out anything he wanted in the store so he could make some bookmarks which I later found that he had picked a LOT of stuff out!!! I purchased the majority of it after convincing him to put a few things back. I actually almost spent more money on him than me : O !!!!
So, anyway Thursday night after my oldest son's baseball game he asked to make his bookmarks. Even though it was way past 10pm I said yes, just so we could get 'er done! He caught me at the right time because I even let him have one of my Maya Road bottle caps that I had bought during our trip (((GASP)))!!! And, I had to take out one of my favorite new toys, my Instax Mini, to document this late night craft session! (Love that camera! It makes it so much easier for me to scrapbook on the fly since it takes me forever to print out digital photos).
So, this layout is based on this week's Sketchy Thursdays 4.21 post and also for Scrapbook Circle's challenge to use a banner on a layout! I used March's Scrapbook Circle kit with the addition of Crate Paper's Toy Box collection and a few things from my stash too! Well, let's hope this week is very crafty because I have tons of babyshower projects and cards that I need to make!
Have a beautiful week!
