Project 12 January 2011

Here's my LO for Project 12 documenting January 2011. This year I decided to use the KI Memories calendar pages to document each month instead of the sketches provided. I really enjoyed pushing myself to use 2 page sketches last year, but I just couldn't resist these calendar pages because they are quick, easy to use, and super cute! I do need to order 6 more now that I have commited to using them for Project 12. My plan was to make a 5X7 photo collage for each month, so that each page would be uniform, well my plans transformed, but I'm happy with it! I think I need a few more embellies, but it's late, so for now it's complete!

Sketchy Thursdays 2.24

Played along with Sketchy Thursdays this week and here's a layout about one of my favorite lunch dates this month! On Superbowl Sunday my youngest and I went to eat the yummiest pizza I've ever had! Love me some Unos! And after lunch we walked to Sundance Square to catch a little bit of the live ESPN broadcast! Really wish there had been more activites available downtown, but we did spend few minutes walking around snapping pics. Makes my heart swell, that Ky even asked to see the camera and he captured things from his perspective! Must get toe pics scrapped too! We had a great day!

I used my Noel Mignon's February Truly Scrumptious kit to create this LO. I only added the ribbon and the corrugated flower from my stash. OK, next I need to wok on my Project 12 and anther special project that I have in the works!
Have a great week and thanks for taking the time to stop by!

sketchy thursdays second chance challenge...

I'm falling behind on my scrappy goals, but spent a few minutes last night scrapping a couple of cards. This Christmas card is for Sketchy Thursdays' second chance challenge which is in partnership with Jingle Belles....so glad I found out about Jingle Belles because I think if I participate all year long I could actually accomplish one of my longtime goals of making and sending out Christmas cards!!!! WOW!!!

December Daily...Apron Strings LO

UPDATE:
Ok, so while I did not finish my DD tonight I did make a little progress...Here is Day 24! Apron Strings weekly challenge is to scrap a layout about last Christmas. This double page mini LO, of course goes in my DD. And even though it's a Christmas Eve LO, don't be fooled into thinking that I only have one more page to go. I have worked on the pages in a very sporadic way- the days that conjure the most memories get completed first and also I decided to document 31 days of December- which stinks because I can't remember anything past Christmas and my sticky note system was apparently not working at that point!!! And I can't change my mind because my album cover clearly states 31 days of December..Uhggg....please let me finish this project this week- I love it, but I'm getting tired of it!

Oh the saga of my December Daily continues...my self imposed deadline to complete my album was January 31, but obviously not so much...so here are some pics that I just took of the state of my album right (sticky notes to remind me of details, stacks of pics stuck in between paper, and embellies waiting to be glued!!! Hopefully, no I will, after I eat dinner I will dive in and finish my album!!!

Apron Strings 5 on Friday

I'm chuggin' along, although I am doing my classic avoidance of the projects I really need to be working on right now like, finishing my December Daily mini album, making a mini album for my aunt whose birthday was Jan 31st!!! Oh, and also a mini for my son's birthday which was last month as well, a thank you card for my grandma, Valentines day cards for a few of my lovies, Valentine goodies for my son's class, and....hmmmm.....

Well at any rate, at least I am getting something done....This is a layout I completed for Apron Strings 5 on Friday which was to include only:

1 sheet cardstock
1 sheet patterned paper
1 set felt embellishments
1 set epoxy embellishments
l length ribbon

I used some left overs from the previous LO I made today from an ASD kit (patterned paper and ribbon- I made a flower with the ribbon-), made my own epoxy stickers with glossy accents (it's not dry so hasn't popped up with the epoxy look yet), Sassafrass Lass feltie lollipop, Elles Studio journaling card, and Thickers and Cosmo Cricket tiny type alpha for my title! I'm usually less than impressed with the LOs that I make for the 5 on Friday challeges because I always want to keep adding stuff, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Ok let's see if I can do the last ASD challenge for this week- scrap a Christmas picture(s) (hmmm wonder if completing my December Daily (lots of Christmas pictures to be scrapped for that) can count? hmmm....

Apron Strings- sketch on Wednesday

I planned on being a scrappin' fool today, but I'm moving slower than molassess! Oh well, slow and steady wins the race, right...ummmhhh sure? : ) Anyway, this is my first scrappy accomplishment for today. This LO is based on a Becky Fleck sketch posted on the Apron Strings Designs blog (sketches on Wednesday). I used the Apron Strings smaller than a bread box kit from August 2010 to create this LO about science night at Kyle's school. I addded a few things from my stash to embellish and had to use some of my favorite Mister Huey in Calico White! Ok, hopefully be back soon with more scraptivity!!!

Sketchy Thursdays 2.3

Slowly but surely I'm getting some scrapping done during these unexpected, but appreciated, snow days! Last night I was looking through some of my favorite kits and pulled pieces from an Apron Strings kit, Scrapbook Circle, and Studio Calico kit...plus a few things from my stash to create this LO about my son's football season 2010based on this weeks Sketchy Thursdays sketch. So happy ot be playing along with them for two weeks in a row! Hopefully, I can keep it up and get some photos scrapped. So next on my list of things to scrap is My Project 12 LO and a few more on-line challenges that end this week too!

sketchy thursdays 1.27

Awww...finally some quiet time after being confined to the house with my boys for the past two days due to weather conditions! They are semi-quietly watching movies, and I'm enjoying the peace! So, I actually used my Cricut(for like the second time ever) and cut this cute lil' mason jar!!!! I have seen some really cute crafts using mason jars recently, so thought I'd cut one with this new cart I ordered a couple of weeks ago! I haven't played along with Sketchy Thursdays in a while, but so glad I made the time to tonight! And, I'm still on my mission to use my kits- used Apron String's October smaller than a bread box kit for this LO. Hopefully, I'll scrap at least a few more pages or work on completing my December Daily (which I'd given myself the deadline of Jan. 1st to complete) tonight! Stay warm and safe!
